Alyssa B. DeVille is an artist from Claremont, CA. She pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at California College of Art, San Francisco. During her last year of undergrad, she shifted her focus to large-scale indirect oil painting and explored personal enigmatic themes. She later moved to Philadelphia for a master's of fine arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. There, she met her husband, Sterling Shaw, an established figurative painter, who helped her transition from illustrator to fine artist.
Alyssa has exhibited her work at The Society of Illustrators in New York, The Jonathan Levine Projects in New Jersey, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Gross McCleaf Gallery.
Currently residing in Philadelphia with her husband and colleague Sterling Shaw, Alyssa is also a mother to their 6-year-old son, Odilon, and a tabby cat named Easel. Alongside her studio work, she passionately educates others in the arts.
